Munroe keen on McCullough

European super-bantamweight titlist Rendall Munroe has expressed an interest in fighting former world champion Wayne McCullough.
Munroe claimed the European strap with an impressive points win over Kiko Martinez in March and followed that up with a successful title defence against Salem Bouaita earlier this month.
The Leicester-based fighter is now hoping to step up to world level and believes that a win over Northern Irish veteran McCullough could help him achieve that goal.
Indeed, Munroe believes that The Pocket Rocket, who saw a proposed bout with Martinez last year fall through, would be just as open to the bout.
At the end of the day, I am out there to become a world champion an my philosophy is, if you want to be the best you have to beat the best, he is quoted as saying by the Irish Mirror. And the same goes for McCullough.
