Mick Conlan to pay respects to late Kevin Sheehy in Féile headliner

In a heartwarming gesture, Michael Conlan will pay tribute to the dearly departed Kevin Sheehy this Saturday night.

The Belfast featherweight tops the big Top Rank card at the Falls Park as part of the Féile an Phobail, taking on Argentine Diego Alberto Ruiz, and will have the initials K.S. emblazoned on his shorts

The tribute honours late Limerick heavyweight Kevin Sheehy who was killed at the start of the month at the age of just 20.

Sheehy was coached internationally by Conlan’s father, John, and Mick was said to be his favourite boxer.

Rest In Peace Kevin Sheehy

Sheehy’s club coach and mentor, Ken Moore, would thank Conlan for the classy nod.
