MEDAL ALERT: Ireland claim FIVE MORE BRONZE at European Juniors

Irish boxing added another five medals to its haul to improve to at least nine bronze at the European Junior Championships in Romania today.

Chloe Gabriel, Aaliyah Butler, Dearbhla Tinnelly, and Tiegan Farrell had their hands raised in victory in their quarter-finals this afternoon in Galati.

But Breda Quilligan, Dylan Eagleson, and Mark Duffy lost close bouts to miss out.

The five winners join Robyn Kelly, Mickes Donoghue, Marty McCullough, and Winnie McDonagh in the semis and will box for silver next.
