McCarthy off to Fight Camp – Matchroom confirm ‘Mack Attack’ vs Billam Smith details

Tommy McCarthy is the only Irish fighter going to Fight Camp this Summer.

Matchroom today confirmed the line up for Fight Camp 2 and the make up of the cards that will play out in Matchroom HQ, Brentwood, Essex.

McCarthy [18(9)-2(1)] will settle his grudge with Chris Billam Smith [12(10)-1(0)] on July 31 and the first of the three confirmed cards.

‘The Mac Attack’ would defend his British title against the Commonwealth champion within minutes of the cruiserweight making a successful first defence of his European title against Alexandru Jur on May 15th – and it has since emerged the vacant British title will be on the line.

It was today confirmed the out of nowhere bad blood match will play out on a card that will be topped by Conor Benn v Adrian Granados and will also feature Shannon Courtenay v Rachel Ball 2, Jack Cullen v Avni Yildrim, aswell as host appearances for Campbell Hatton, Anthony Fowler, and Sandy Ryan.
