Leixlip bring in keeper from the League of Ireland

LSL Senior Sunday side Leixlip United AFC have moved to bolster their squad ahead what they hope will be a promotion push next season.

The side second tier side have signed respected keeper Jamie Quinn from Shelbourne.

The net minder was rumoured to be Drogheda United bound, but he becomes new Leixlip boss Ed Saul’s first signing at the club.

Quinn arrives from Shelbourne who he signed for in January of 2017. Before a stint a Shels the keeper made nine appearances for the Athlone Town.

Quinn also has amateur experience having played for Newbridge Town back before moving to the League of Ireland.

United were relegated last season from LSL Senior Sunday, but will be hoping to finish in the top three of a what looks likely to be a very competitive second tier next year.
