I know I belong with best in Britain now I have to prove it

Conrad Cummings is ready to prove he is an elite middleweight.

The Cyclone Promotions middleweight is looking to move to 9-01 in Wales tomorrow and is keen to continue his progression from prospect to contender.

Victory on a TV broadcast clash with Frankie Borg in Wales tomorrow night will certainly open more doors for the Coalisland native and the Shane McGuigan trained middle is keen to kick on to major title contention.

The 24 year old believes he has the ability to compete at the higher level and is not determined to convince fight fans and those that matter that is the case.

“I want to show my true potential and I know that I belong up with the best in Britain and it’s just a matter of proving it in these next few fights,” he said.

“I’m at my best when I stay busy so it’s great to be boxing again in Cardiff and I am looking forward to it.”

“I have been working very hard in the gym and you learn so much training beside the likes of Carl Frampton and George Groves.

Cummings again steps above journey man level and takes on Borg in his home town on Saturday and he admits it is a good test for him.
“Borg’s a really tough guy, he holds a win over former European champion Kerry Hope so it’s going to be a good fight for me.”
