Katie Taylor was a guest on Soccer AM over the weekend and as well as discussing all things her boxing career, she showed of her football capabilities.

Olympic success and world domination in both the amateur and pro codes are not the two division titlists only sporting accolades.

The Bray native is also an Irish international footballer and was said to be extremely talented on the pitch as well as the ring. Over 40 caps and the following goal should be proof enough.

In 2012 the unified lightweight world champion was linked to a move to then 12 time league champions Arsenal and her father Pete Taylor confirmed there was interest from a number of clubs.

“She’s got a good few teams interested in her at the moment, but she’s got to get back playing.”

Thankfully Taylor continued to box and continues to break new ground in the sweet science.

However, on Saturday she showed she has it when appearing on Soccer AM.

Taylor held her own ahead of former Premier League player Jamie O’Hara in the skills challenge – and almost found the top bin [literally] with a brilliant volley later on the show.

Taylor also revealed Leeds United are the team she supports.

“Leeds United. My dad is from Leeds so I remember my two older brothers every Christmas getting new jerseys and boots.

“I haven’t actually seen a match in a while but I know they’re doing well.”

It’s not the first time the leading female pro has been in the news for her football exploits.

Last year footage emerged of a rather tasty challenge put in during an underage game back in 1998.

More recently Taylor appeared on Soccer AM and showed she still has it.
