James Tennyson warms up for British title with red hot first round KO

James Tennyson had the perfect appetizer tonight at the Europa Hotel ahead of his British featherweight title showdown with Ryan Walsh.

The Assassin took on Antonio Horvatic at the Belfast dinner show, and quickly flattened the Croatian fighter.

The Kronk fighter stormed out of the blocks scoring multiple uppercuts that rocked the rarely-stopped Balkan fighter numerous times before he slumped into the ropes and the bout was waved off.

If Tennyson is given the opportunity against Walsh to land shots like he did tonight, then another stoppage win for the Belfast man could be on the cards.

Tennyson now moves to 16(13)-1(1) ahead of the April clash, while the shell-shocked Horvatic drops to 9(5)-23(5).

The Belfast star will now head straight back into training ahead of the British title fight with Walsh, and we excitedly await the result of the upcoming purse bids to see if Mark Dunlop can bring the bout to Belfast.
