JAMES Tennyson is closing in on a British Title shot.
The former undefeated Irish champion and current Celtic Champion should be mandatory challenger for the winner of the British featherweight title fight Ryan Walsh v Samir Mouneinme.
Tennyson, 21 feels he ready to make the step up to domestic level and feels having seen off Kris Hughes believes he has proved he is worth a shot. Indeed ‘Tenny’ claims he will be ready to step in and challenge straight away if either of the challengers pulls out injured.
The Belfast prospect talked to Irish-boxing.com this week about his title ambitions, his upcoming Dee Day clash and his fight with Hughes.
