International action in Cork this weekend

This weekend will see the start of a, hopefully, long and fruitful relationship between Cork and Bristol Boxing.

The inaugural Cork-Bristol Boxing Exchange will glove off at 7pm this Saturday (January 21st) with a high-quality international fight night at the Cork Boxing Centre in Churchfield.

The event has already attracted sponsorship from the likes of Fota Wildlife Park, the Titanic Experience in Cobh, The Red Cove Inn – Mahon, Sinn Féin Councillor Michael Nugent, Fianna Fáil Councillor Fergal Dennehy, Desmond Conservatories, Fitness Equiptment Ireland, The Harp Bar Ballyphehane, Everton AFC, Cormac O’Connor Butchers, Common’s Inn, Coom Construction, Sports Gear Direct, and The Celtic Box Cup in Dungarvan.

A second leg, in Bristol, is planned for this September.
