Good night’s work for Frampton

02 September 2009 – By Cormac Campbell

Belfast super-bantamweight Carl Frampton extended his unbeaten record to 2-0 with a 40-36 points victory over Frenchman Yannis Lakrout in Middlesbrough on Friday.

The 22-year-old Gerry Storey-trained, Barry McGuigan-managed puncher will have been happy to get rounds under his belt.

Frampton now looks set to feature on the undercard of Paul McCloskeys mooted European light-welterweight title fight versus Souleymane M’baye at the Kings Hall later this autumn.
