Gary Sweeney [2(2)-0] has been handed quite a dangerous assignment for his third professional fight.

The Ballinrobe cruiser makes his Irish debut on Saturday on the Belfast Boxnation show following two knockouts in Britain earlier this year.

At the Titanic Exhibition Centre ‘The Gallant’ will face a man who is familiar with stoppage wins himself, taking on Pole Jarek Prusak [8(8)-1(1)].

A big puncher with a taste for victory, 32 year old Prusak racked up eight straight stoppage wins inside three rounds in his native land against journeyman opposition before losing last time out in Latvia.

MGM commented on how “it’s a tough fight, but one we feel Gary is fully prepared for. The atmosphere will provide him with added confidence and we are delighted to put on such an explosive encounter for the Belfast boxing fans.”

22 year old Sweeney features on the undercard of the November 5th show alongside Sean Turner, Con Sheehan, Stephen Ormond, Declan Geraghty, Marco McCullough, Steven Ward, Paddy Barnes, and the clash between Tyrone McKenna and Sean Creagh. Topping the bill will be Jamie Conlan.
