Gallery: New world champ Christina McMahon comes home to a hero’s welcome
NEW WBC Interim World champion Christina McMahon came home to a hero’s welcome in Dublin on Monday night.
Ireland’s only female pro boxer collected the title with a points win over Catherine Phiri in Zambia on May 2.
The Monaghan native and former kickboxing World champion will now hope to secure a clash with the number one in the division and outright champion Yazmin Rivas.
Monday, however was for savour the moment and McMahon fans helped her celebrate and greeted her to a deserved hero’s welcome at Dublin Airport.
