Gallagher honoured in Ireland a week before Frampton v Quigg

Joe Gallagher was honoured for his services to boxing in IRELAND this week.

Just days shy of the massive Frampton versus Quigg clash, in which Gallager’s charge will fight Irish fight favourite Carl Frampton, the Manchester coach was being honoured in a civic reception.

The county of Sligo saw it apt to pay tribute to the Ring Magazine Trainer of the Year and there are those among Team Quigg and in Matchroom who will  afford themselves a smile with the County Councils timing.

Gallagher, whose parents hail from Sligo, Tweeted he was “proud” to receive the civic reception, which was hosted by Mayor Thomas Healy, while he also paid a visit to St Joseph’s ABC & Sligo City Boxing club.
