Former Keeler foe secures Chris Eubank Jr shot

Former Luke Keeler foe Tom Doran will challenge for Chris Eubank Jr’s British middleweight title  the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s first defence of his IBF World heavyweight belt.

The Welsh puncher and Keeler were involved in one of the most exciting fights of the year in February and Doran’s reward for getting up off the floor to win is a big fight with former World title challenger Eubank Jr.

Keeler himself has suggested he would love a fight with the puncher who defeated his stable mate Gary O’Sullivan, but most likely wouldn’t have been afforded the chance had he beaten Doran as he isn’t British title eligible.

However, the fact Doran, who Keeler looks likely to rematch with down the line, has been chosen for a fighter with a high profile World title challenger on his return to Sky Sports and Matchroom suggests his stock has risen.

In that regard Keeler himself might be more high profile off the back of the aforementioned Doran battle and may himself find it easier to secure Sky dates and bigger fights.
