Feargal McCrory set for shocking announcement

Feargal McCrory [8(3)-0] missed out on fight number nine earlier this month.

The Coalisland super featherweight was due to feature on the MHD Promotions ‘Collision’ bill in Belfast but was forced to pull out through injury – however, McCrory is still in remarkably high spirits.

Following a stop-start first two years as a pro, ‘Fearless Feargal’ built up a head of steam in 2017, scoring big wins on big cards in Belfast.

This was set to continue earlier this month before a minor knee injury intervened but McCrory was able to console himself at the thought of a life-changing announcement which is in the works

The Tyrone fighter has enormous news pending, one which he teases that no-one will believe,

“There is something very big which may come up,” he told Irish-Boxing.com. “It will be huge, people won’t see it coming.”

McCrory was unable to indulge any further details but is just keen to be back in the ring and continue pushing on following a minor break-out year.

The 25-year-old outlined how “I’ve been out with injury, and it was a knee injury so I couldn’t run, I couldn’t even shadow box”

“It’s not nice to be out but I’m pushing towards titles at the end of the year.”

“I want a 50-50 fight, I want that big chance, that big risk, because it’s easier to perform against a good fighter. I seem to excel against a better calibre of opponent.”
