Feargal McCrory secures ‘incredible’ fight on big Belfast bill
It will be a step down in rounds but a step up in opposition for Feargal McCrory [5(2)-0] next weekend on the Matchroom card in Belfast.
The Coalisland super featherweight is in action on the Ryan Burnett world title bill at the SSE Odyssey Arena on Saturday June 10th and will face a recent Area champioon.
It has been confirmed that ‘Fearless Feargal’ will face Paul Holt [6(2)-4(2)] in a battle of the southpaws over six rounds.
The Birmingham boxer has campaigned at Area level over the past two years, losing over ten to Bobby Jenkinson for the Midlands featherweight belt in 2015 before winning the super featherweight equivilant against Louis Fielding last September.
‘The Incredible Holt’ would then lose a fight for the title against Leon Woodstock in April. The Englishman was also beaten over six by Scottish champion Joe Ham, but had the Glasweigan down in this contest.
The John Breen-trained McCrory recently made his first big step up, scoring a dominant fourth round stoppage win over Livepudlian Jay Carney in a top-of-the-bill clash at The Devenish Complex in Belfast in April.
Tickets for ‘Belfast Boy’ on June 10th at the SSE Odyssey Arena cost £30, £40, £60, £100, and £150 (VIP), and can be bought from the boxers involved or HERE.
