Dublin youngster joins growing Irish pro scene – debuts next month
Another new pro has joined the Irish scene as the influx of young talents to the paid game continues.
Tonight it is the turn of Dublin welterweight Luke Boyle, who makes the move aged 20.
A graduate of Whitechurch BC and later Crumlin BC, ‘Big Bang’ Boyle brings an aggressive, power-punching style into the pros.
The Kilternan youngster had his debut confirmed today, and will appear on the inaugural SK Promotions show – ‘New Generation’ – on Friday October 20th at the CityWest in Saggart, South Dublin.
Boyle said that “I’m absolutely buzzing to make my debut. I can’t thank my team and the event promoter enough for this opportunity. This has been a dream of mine for years and after a tough year, I am living for this night.”
“I hope I can be exciting and move up the rankings in Ireland and become a champion in due time. Thanks again for the opportunity and I won’t let anyone down on fight night.”
Boyle joins Liam Gaynor, Chris Mullally, and Karl Kelly on the small hall bill, with a couple more fighters to be announced.
Ticket details will be confirmed shortly.
