John Joe Nevin’s proposed fight in America tonight has been cancelled.
The London 2012 silver medal winner was hoping to push his record to 6-0 just two weeks after he registered a stoppage win over Jose Guzman in the third of six scheduled rounds in Brooklyn.
The former stand amateur was scheduled to fight in Philadelphia on Friday night, but has been forced off the show.
Nevin’s scheduled opponent pulled off the show and the Mullingar talent’s team couldn’t find a last-minute replacement.
Nevin, who boast four stoppages from five bouts, will be hopeful managers Tom Moran and Cameron Dunkin can secure him a new date in the near future.
