Disappointing fight cancelation for Aaron McKenna

Aaron McKenna [11(7)-0] will have to wait before he fights for the first time this year.

‘The Silencer’ thought he had secured an April fight date and announced he would fight in Texas on April 23.

The exciting Monaghan prospect’ was set to fight for the first time in 2021 and his first since becoming the first man to stop Jordan Grannum last December on a Golden Boy show.

However, the younger brother of fellow pro-Stevie McKenna has revealed the fight is off and he is awaiting a new date.

The entire card has fallen through leaving McKenna without an official date.

It is a setback for the Freddie Roach trained fighter but he is in LA and ready for to go if a fight date arises soon.

The Golden Boy promoted Sheer Sports managed fighter is a keep busy advocate and is keen to fight his way toward the top. He has been busy since turning over fighting five times in both 2018 and 2019.

The pandemic has slowed things down just as they looked to get more interesting and the prospect only fought once in 2020.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to get back active this year and will be hoping this months cancelation is a minor set back.
