Details of Dolphil card

20 January 2011 – Jonny Stapleton

Dolphil Promotions have revealed details of their 14 fight, January 30, Sunday Matinee show at City West.

Top of the bill is Dubliner Anthony Fitzgeralds much anticipated Super-middleweight title fight with Belfast fighter Lee Murtagh. Murtagh and The Prides first attempt to battle for the Irish strap was literally cut short after just two rounds due to an accidental gash inflicted on the Leeds based Belfast pro.

Daren Cruise and JJ McDonagh both of the Dolphil stable also face Irish challenges as they clash with Mick Doherty and Phil Townley respectfully. The rest of the substantial fight card, that unfortunately doesnt include Dean Byrne, is an Ireland versus the East battle.

Irish fight fans will be keen to see how Paulie Hyland reacts to his European title defeat at the gloves of Willie Casey as he challenges Zsolt Nagy.

Ian Tims and Michael Sweeney will compete in the same ring but as of yet not at the same time. The pair who will fight for an Irish title on March 19 will get to run the rule over each other as they return after enforced lay offs against Victor Szalai and Kristian Jaski respectfully.

Veterans Paul Griffin and Oisin Fagan also make eagerly awaited comebacks on the City West hosted show.
