1906: Legendary Wexford fighter Jem Roche successfully defended his Irish heavyweight title for a second time at the Empire Theatre in Dublin. Facing Young John Sullivan in a repeat of their 1905 bout, the Glynn boxer recovered from a sixth round knockdown to outpoint the Dubliner over twenty rounds.
