Connor Coyle confirms Irish fight date

Derry’s Connor Coyle [2(1)-0] has confirmed that he will trade leather for the third time as a pro in February of the new year.

The light middleweight prospect will fight on Saturday February 25th at the National Stadium on the Red Corner Promotions recently-announced second show.

The Florida-based fighter is currently home training in his old amateur club, St Joseph’s, in Derry, ahead of a return to the Sunshine state and coach Jim McLoughlin.

Coyle joins Cork welter Noely Murphy [7(2)-0] on the card, with more to be confirmed in the coming days.

26 year old Coyle appeared on the inauguaral Red Corner show last month, outpointing the exceedingly awkward Santos Medrano over four rounds. This came after his debut in Tampa where he stopped Euris Silverio inside a round.
