Con Sheehan [3(1)-0] will make his Irish debut on Saturday night in Belfast and will face tough Polish opposition on his return.

The Clonmel big man has this year linked up with MGM and Team Fury, and has quickly moved up the levels, continuing this climb at the weekend on the Boxnation-broadcast bill

At the Titanic Exhibition Centre this weekend, Con ‘The Bomb’ will face Kamil Sokolowski [2(0)-7(2)-1] in a bout which is scheduled for eight rounds.

30 year old Sokolowski is based in Plymouth in the South of England. In the past few years the Eastern European has sharing the ring with Dillian Whyte (third round KO), Hatton prospect Nathon Gorman (5th round stoppage), Gary Cornish (six-round points loss), Sam Sexton (six-round points loss), and Kash Ali (four-round points loss).

The Pole comes into the clash in good form having scored a points win over Noureddine Meddoun during the Summer, and has previously claimed an upset win over English prospect Adam Machaj.

The Tipperary fighter had hoped to fight for either the Irish title, but no eligible opponent could be found, before a potential clash with Englishman Dave Allen then fell through.

Sheehan features as part of an eleven fight undercard for the Jamie Conlan-topped card. The Munster man plays support alongside Marco McCullough, Declan Geraghty, Gary Sweeney, Sean Turner, Steven Ward, Phil Sutcliffe, Stephen Ormond, James Tennyson, Paddy Barnes, and the All-Irish clash between Sean Creagh and Tyrone McKenna.
