Tonight’s the night.

Katie Taylor is back on this side of the world and looking to make more history.

The Wicklow woman steps up to light welterweight to challenge WBO champion Christina Linardatou on a Matchroom card at the Manchester Arena.

The fight will be shown live in Ireland and the UK on both Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Action.

Taylor is the card’s headliner but local favourite Anthony Crolla will be the last championship fight in the ring.

Therefore the Irishwoman can be expected in the ring earlier than usual – with Taylor’s team noting that a ringwalk time of 9:00pm is likely
