Chris Blaney scores big Dublin knockout

Chris Blaney scored another big Dublin knockout win, his third, tonight at the National Stadium.

The Navan middleweight took on Adrian Parlogea, a late replacement of the late replacement, and scored a thunderous second round stoppage at the National Stadium.

With two opponents having fallen through, the 46 year old rotund Romanian was sourced on a day’s notice and provided little opposition to the Hatton prospect.

That said, while his opponent was massively overmatched, Blaney went about his business professionally, and began patiently, working the body.

The Romanian looked ready to go at any moment and the end finally came in the second with one huge left hook sending Parlogea down heavily and having the bout waved off.

The win sees Blaney improve his perfect professional record to 5(3)-0, while Parlogea falls to 11(1)-44(25).

Next up for Blaney is a step up to six rounds, as hos career starts to kick on.
