Cazares: Frampton’s fans can’t get in the ring with him

THEY might be able to raise The Odyssey roof on April 4, but Carl Frampton’s passionate support won’t be able to bowl over Hugo ‘El Increible’ Cazares, claims the Mexican.

The WBC number 1 ranked super bantamweight seems aware of the reception he can expect when he walks to the ring for the pairs WBC Final Eliminator in front of one of the most partisan support in World boxing, but claims he is unfazed.

The former world champion says while the might be loud ‘The Jackal’s’ fight fans won’t be able to land blows out side of the verbal kind. He stresses its just him and Frampton in the ring and even claims he is looking forward to fighting in the Jackal’s Den.

“I am happy, my camp has been good and I am looking forward to boxing in Belfast. I know the crowd will be behind him but the only thing that matters is what happens in the ring. The fans, the people that come along can say what they want but nobody will help us in the ring. I just do my job in the best way I can.”

“I plan on doing a great job against Carl Frampton and this will give me the chance for another World title.”

Frampton goes into the bout on the back of two impressive knock outs, including the only ever stoppage of current IBF World champion Kiko Martinez, but Cazares claims he is a class above any fighter the former European champion has ever traded leather with.

“I know he’s (Frampton) a strong fighter, he’s fought with a Mexican fighter Raul Hirales and also KO’d Kiko Martinez. But there’s a big difference between Kiko Martinez, Raul Hirales and myself.”
