The televised portion of tonight’s card at the Barclays Centre is about to begin and it is only a couple of hours until ‘The Jackal’ Carl Frampton challenges Leo Santa Cruz for the Mexican-American’s WBA featherweight title.

The televised feature on Showtime and Boxnation will also feature the return of Mikey Garcia versus Elio Rojas, and the IBF light middleweight eliminator between Tony Harrison and Sergey Rabchenko.

There were also seven further fights in New York and the results are as follows:

Cyclone light welterweight Josh Taylor defeated American Evincii Dixon, with the Scot forcing his opponent into a second round retirement.

There were then two quick first round knockout wins for featherweight Jose Gomez and Korean light welterweight Min Wook Kim over Josh Crespo and Louis Cruz respectively.

Coalisland middleweight Conrad Cummings brought the house down in a six round war with Dante Moore.

The first of the two World title bouts on the card ended very quickly with WBO female featherweight champ Amanda Serrano taking less than ninety seconds to dispose of Colombian Calixta Silgado.

There was something of an upset in the lightweight clash between Tevin Farmer and Ivan Redkach. Farmer, fighting at the weight for the first time was too slick for his Ukrainian opponent and strolled to a comfortable unanimous decision (99-89, 98-80 x2) win.

In a battle of Brooklyn, headlining the ShoExtreme portion of the card, former two-weight champ Paulie Malignaggi outpointed Gabe Bracero (98-92 x2, 96-94).

Now it’s time for the main card!
