Carl Frampton Press Conference OPENED TO THE PUBLIC

The press conference to formally announce Carl Frampton’s next fight and reveal his upcoming opponent has been opened to the public.

It was initially announced yesterday evening that the event in Belfast would be restricted to media only.

This choice from Queensberry Promotions led to criticism from fans and this afternoon it has been changed to an open-to-the-public event.

The press conference will still take place at the Ulster Hall at 11:00am, with proceedings beginning at 11:30am.

Frampton [23(14)-1(0)] looks set to have his return confirmed for the SSE Odyssey Arena on Saturday November 18th.

‘The Jackal’ – who has been out of the ring since losing his WBA title in a Las Vegas rematch to Leo Santa Cruz in January – has admitted that the fight will be more of a tune-up, although still against a solid name, ahead of a return to massive fights next year.

South African WBO bantamweight champion Zolani Tete [25(20)-3(1)] will feature on the card and it is expected that Jamie Conlan [19(11)-0] will also have a big fight announced.
