Brilliant new book chronicles the career of Carl Frampton

Carl Frampton has had a amazing career, going from the small halls to the bright lights, and Steve Wellings has been there to witness and report on the whole story.

The author of the annual Irish Boxing Review and former editor of this very site, has released a book which collates all of the articles he has written on ‘The Jackal’ since day dot.

Wellings describes how:

‘It’s a career that started out at a grass roots amateur club and is currently scaling the heights of world boxing. The rise of Carl Frampton has excited and energised boxing fans from Belfast and beyond in a way not seen since his manager graced the ring. Learning his craft on small hall shows Carl was soon headlining in the historic Ulster Hall before making the Odyssey Arena his own. Frampton went on to unify the belts in Manchester and crossed the water to conquer America. Including articles and interviews from before he turned pro right up to the latest phase in this epic story, witness the Rise of the Jackal in all of its glory.’
