Boxing: Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua – Who will be crowned the heavyweight unified champion?

Now that a date has been set, we are all counting the days till the 14th of August, where Heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury will square off.  The fight has been a long time coming, and the Saudi Arabia clash will be the ultimate fight in boxing history.  This is the clash of the Titans, as the best of the very best square off with 1 king reigning at the very end.

As the date of the fight draws closer, both fighters have been documenting their training journey via their social media accounts. Tyson Fury, the Gypsy King was training; in Las Vegas, and while his pregnant wife stays back home, he parties with lavish blondes and enjoys cocktails.  In the meantime, backhome is gloomy United Kingdom Anthony Joshua is in beast mode at the gym. Only this week ex heavyweight Tony Bellew issued Fury a wardining, that Joshua is training like an animal and has been in the game since his win with Kubrat Pulev. However the boeing world has not forgotten the 12 round defeat that the heavyweight champion endured against Anthony Ruiz.  You can win a million fights and matches, but the media and the fans will still remember your loss and defeat.

The Gypsy King has been a recurring figure also in the media.  Following his bouts and very public battles with mental health, Fury has become somehow of a sensation.  We all want to buy Fury!  And his happy ending came when he beat Deontay Wilder wayback in 2020. Fury needed this, and once that fight was done and dusted, his next target was evidently Anthony Joshua.

So who is going to win and take home all the belts?  Cause let’s face it, this is the most important fight of both Fury and Joshua’s lives, as one fighter will walk away with all the belts and the other will walk away with none. If a couple of years ago you would have asked us who would win, we would say that Tyson Fury would not stand a chance, but let us not underestimate Tyson Fury.   Whilst Anthony Joshua’s power, stamina and talents are just impeccable, Fury is also a powerhouse.

With the help of the team, let’s have a look at how the bookies are placing both fighters and who is more likely to win the unification fight. Tyson Fury currently stands at a 4/7 win with him delivering a KP at 2/1. On the other hand, if you want to place your bets on undisputed champion Anthony Joshua, odds for a win stand at 6/4 with a KO being targeted at 5/2 odds.  If we look at the last year track record of both the fighters, we expect that the game will carry to the 12th and final rounds of the fight.  These are 2 fighters with belts, with awards and both have earned their stripes in the boxing world.  Last year, both fighters took to the 9th and 12th rounds to take out their respective opponents, so the stamina is there for both.

Are you Team Fury or Team Anthony Joshua?  You have till the 14th of August to decide, in the meantime, you can follow both fighters via social media to keep track of their training rituals leading to the fight!
