‘Bigger Fight’ – NEW Title Fight Confirmed to Padraig McCrory

Padraig McCrory [14(8)-0] will fight an undefeated German in Germany instead of French opposition in Ireland next month.

The Belfast super middleweight got due reward for a sensational run of knockout form by being made mandatory for Gustave Tamba and his EU 168lbs title.

Conlan Boxing then won purse bids to promote the mandated fight and McCrory looked set for a big night in either Galway or Belfast.

However, according to Jamie Conlan, ‘The Hammer’ now has something bigger lined up. The Dee Walsh trained fighter will fight an undefeated German in Germany for a ‘bigger’ title on a Wasserman show on October 22.

“We have an agreement in principle with Nisse Sauerland.. for Padraig McCrory, a bigger fight in Germany,” the Conlan Boxing CEO told IFL TV.

“Poddy has a great fight and a great opportunity in Germany I’m excited for that.”

The news means an exciting show Conlan Boxing had lined up for Galway in late October now won’t go ahead. Conlan Boxing are hoping to get both Top Rank starlets, Kieran Molloy and Kurt Walker on the German undercard.
