Light welterweight contender Phil Sutcliffe Jr will return to the ring next month after seven months away.

The Crumlin knockout artist will trade leather against a to-be-confirmed opponent in Blackpool on December 12th, and will be looking to take out any frustration on his unfortunate foe.

The 26 year old had a career-best win in May against Yoann Portailler, but missed the Pat Magee-ran Féile Fight Night in Belfast this Summer.

The Dubliner has been training hard throughout this period, and recently has been helping London’s Kevin Mitchell prepare for his World Ctitle eliminator with Ismael Barroso.

Sutcliffe will join his Pat Magee stablemate Tommy McCarthy on the bill at the Hilton Hotel.
