Limerick’s Willie ‘Big Bang’ Casey makes his long awaited comeback on the undercard to ‘The Waterfront Brawl’ when he faces an opponent to be named shortly in an international six-round Featherweight contest.
The former European Super Bantamweight champion, 14(9) – 3, will be looking to get back in the groove with a comprehensive win after taking an extended break following his heroic loss to Belfast’s Marc McCullough in an Irish Featherweight title challenge last year.
Some big fights lie ahead for the Limerick man if he can get back to winning ways on the 20th of June at the Waterfront Hall.
Speaking about the show which also see a return for Conal Carmicheal Cyclone Promotions CEO Barry McGuigan said,
“I am genuinely excited about our show ‘The Waterfront Brawl’ on the 20th of June. It has been our aim to bring championship Boxing back to Belfast on a regular basis and that is what we have done here. Both Marc and Jamie are in title fights and both must win convincingly to maintain their meteoric rise up the rankings. Willie Casey makes his long awaited return as does Belfast’s Conall Carmichael and Conrad Cummings takes the next step in his promising career against a seasoned professional. June 20th is shaping up to be a cracker!”
