Vasiliy Lomachenko Targets Anthony Cacace Fight

Anthony Cacace could be the man to welcome Vasiliy Lomachenko back to boxing.

The Ukrainian hasn’t fought since the summer of 2024 but is on the comeback trail and will return to the ring in the very near future.

The fight legend wants to jump straight back in at the deep end and has targeted a world-level return.

According to his manager, the Olympic gold medal winner and former world champion has super featherweight undisputed aspirations. The Belfast man holds one of the four titles needed to achieve that goal and, as a result, is a prime target.

Last Stand podcaster Brian Custer revealed as much this week, stating:

“Spoke to Egis Klimas and he told me Loma is only coming back to fulfil his dream of becoming undisputed! But at his natural weight of 130.

“Wants the winner of Navarrete/Foster but eyeing Cacace right now. Says time off has done his body well and will be even better when he comes back.”

A Loma fight and payday would appeal massively to two-time world champion Cacace. However, he first has to come through Nick Ball in Belfast in December.

The Apache may also prefer to hunt down undisputed status and the winner of the WBO, IBF, and WBC unification fight between Navarrete and Foster. Indeed, he told Irish-boxing.com that the fight has already been promised to him.

Cacace has responded positively to Loma links previously.
