This month Tyson Fury talks to us from Belgium about his upcoming bout in Belfast on December 1. As per usual Fury was value for money and discusses his Irishness, David Price and his desire to fight for a World title next year in his own unique style.

We have the first interview with Patrick Hyland since he has secured a world title fight on the Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez rematch. The Tallaght hits back at some of his critics the ‘step to far’ critics and discusses his opponent Javier Fortuna.

Matthew Macklin also appeared on the show to discuss his most recent win and a possible bout with Julio Cesar Chavez jr in April.

Irish boxing legend Barry McGuigan makes his first appearance and talks Carl Frampton, the problems with the promotional end of boxing in Ireland, Joe Ward, Ireland’s Olympic hopes and more. The former world champion holds no punches and fights back at claims Frampton failed to entertain. McGuigan saved special criticism for a ‘far from riveting’ Jim Watt.

Former Julio Cesar Chavez Jr foe Oisin Fagan is also on the show and talks about Andy lee’s July 16 chances. The former Irish champion also discusses his life in boxing which began with him sleeping in a car.

Prizefighter winner Eammon O’Kane was another interviewed on the entertaining show. The Dungiven prospect answered questions on his All Irish Prizefighter win, his future and on friend and fight hero Paul McCloskey.

Irish Team manger Anna Moore told us of her respect and admiration for world champion Katie taylor and discussed the female fight game in Ireland, the recent world champions and more.

Irish Boxing Radio Episode 3- March 2012

Ireland’s only dedicated boxing radio show, Irish Boxing Radio returns and fittingly in what is an action packed month for domestic boxing we bring you an incident filled show.
On March’s episode we have the last man to face Matthew Macklin’s next foe, Sergio Martinez, Darren Barker. The English fighter tells us how he thinks the former Tipperary underage hurler has to fight if he is to stand a chance against the middleweight ring King in Madision Square Garden on St Patricks Day.

The former middleweight champion of Europe also pledged his support to his domestic rival in hopes a Macklin win will lead to a major Macklin Barker clash.

It was once again ‘a cracker’ from Martin Rogan. The big heavyweight followed up his brilliantly surreal press conference performance with another entertaining out of ring display.

Big Rogie’ talks all things Fury and predicts a knock out victory for the Iron Man on April 14.

Not far behind on the comedy front is Dean Byrne. The Dubliner talked to us before his bout next weekend was cancelled and despite being his jovial self got serious when discussing his first lose, his reputation as a sparring partner and his link to the Wild Card Gym.

Not so upbeat was Pascal Collins. The Celtic Gym boss vented his frustration at the Paul Abbleby Stephen Ormond decision. Collins, who also trains Ian Tims and Spike O’Sullivan, claims the referee was the worst he has ever seen in boxing and believes The Rock won the bout by a clear margin.

Prizefighter’s Joe Rea also made an appearance on yet another quality show. The Belfast middleweight signaled his Prizefigher intentions and claims people will see a new improved, fully prepared and fully focused Rea.

Irish Boxing Radio Episode 2- February 2012

On this months episode of Ireland’s only dedicated boxing radio show Eddie Hearn talks about the search for a Paul ‘Dudey’ McCloskey opponent as well as an all Irish middleweight Prizefighter.
Brian Magee’s manager Pat Magee talks to us from Copenhagen about his charges WBA interim super middleweight title fight this weekend as well as a possible Mikkel Kessler bout down the line.

The Belfast manager also   claims he hopes to make a Kiko Martinez Carl Frampton fight for Belfast in the Summer.

WBA world middleweight top 15 fighter Anthony Fitzgerald is as forthright as ever as he discusses his first fight in nigh on a year.

The Pride also talks about his feud with Ryan Clarke and the possibility of competing in a May Prizefighter.

Youth Olympic gold medallist Ryan Burnett gives us the details of his move to Manchester and his link up with Hatton Promotions. Listen as the Belfast teenager discusses having former world champion and British boxing legend Ricky Hatton as his new trainer.

Listen as ‘Big Bang’ Willie Casey admits to considering retirement amidst trouble getting an opponent for his Emerald Promotions fight next weekend.
