What time is Mick Conlan v Ruben Garcia Hernandez – FULL RUNNING ORDER
Mick Conlan and the Irish take over Madison Square Garden on St Patrick’s Day tonight for the third year running.
The Belfast featherweight headlines The Theater, topping a Top Rank bill at the Felt Forum in a ten rounder versus Mexican Ruben Garcia Hernandez with Irish undercard support coming from both Paddy Barnes and Lee Reeves.
Taking place on a Sunday, the eight-fight bill therefore starts early in the afternoon (3:00pm local time) in New York, with the U.S. East Coast only being four hours behind Ireland currently.
It means an earlier night than usual for a U.S. fight card which is welcome news.
The bill in its entirety will be shown live in America via the ESPN+ app while, in Ireland and the UK, the card is being shown on BoxNation (which is part of the eir Sport pack).
BoxNation’s broadcast begins at 8:45pm Irish time.
This means they will not be airing Limerick welter Lee Reeves live but, as the bout looks set to be aired by ESPN+, it is hoped that highlights will be shown.
As always, the exact timings of fights are impossible to judge but both Barnes and Conlan’s fights will be shown live.
Barnes is expected into the ring at around 10:00pm Irish time, with his clash with Oscar Mojica the first of the three-fight ‘main card’.
This six-round fight is followed by the clash between Luis Collazo and Samuel Vargas which then leads into Conlan at about 11:15pm Irish time – although the fighting will not take place until a while after this such are the Falls Road starlet’s entrances.
This year Conlan will be accompanied to the ring by WWE superstar Finn Balor.
The running order for the night is as follows:
