WATCH: Card Roulette hilariously backfires on Paddy Barnes
Whether it’s warranted or not, Belfast flyweight Paddy Barnes [2(0)-0] has a reputation for being a man that goes missing when the bill arrives.
While we’re sure it’s nothing but jealous rumours spread by his fellow boxers, it’s certainly funny to see the double Olympic bronze medal get some stick.

Barnes is currently out in Marbella preparing for his third pro fight, where he will take a massive jump up in class to face former European champion and world title challenger Silvio Oltneau for the WBO European belt.
After a hard day’s training in the sun ahead of the June 17th fight date, Barnes went to a restaurant with gym mates Jamie Conlan and Tyrone McKenna for a meal.
As the dreaded bill came around, the trio decided to play ‘card roulette’ – a new craze sweeping the internet.
Essentially it is Russian Roulette, however it is one person’s bank account that takes the bullet.
All players must leave their bank cards on the table and allow the waiter to pick one, which is then used to pay for the entire meal.
Today it was Barnes that took the bullet, forcing him to pay for all three meals, and the 30 year old Cliftonville man was only devastated.
