Luke Keeler and Tom Doran both made weight today ahead of their much-anticipated rematch at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.
Dublin’s Keeler tipped the scales at a career-trimmest 159.5lbs for the WBC International title fight.
Doran, who somewhat infamously missed weight by a massive 7lbs last year for a fight with Rod Smith, also made the middleweight limit and came in at 158.25lbs.
The two then engaged in a tense staredown, with ‘Cool Hand Luke’ being shouted on by a vociferous traveling support.
The pair met in the semi-finals of last year’s Prizefighter, with Welshman Doran emerging victorious. Ballyfermot’s Keeler has been angling for a rematch ever since and prove that it was injury not inferiority that caused the loss last February.
