TYSON FURY can break the Klitschkos’ stranglehold on heavyweight boxing says one of the most respected figures in the sport – Brian Hughes.

Now British and Common -wealth champ, Fury aims to maintain his career momentum at Belfast’s King’s Hall on Saturday week.

But the 23-year-old Mancunian’s ultimate goal is to unseat Wladimir Klitschko – conqueror of David Haye – and brother Vitali.

Hughes, Fury’s coach until retiring earlier this year after half a century in boxing, said: “Tyson has all the ammunition to be world heavyweight champion and I’ve no doubts he can beat either Klitschko.

“He’s certainly got a far better chance than Haye.

“He has boxing ability as well as natural power and strength.

“Tyson’s a genuine heavyweight. He’s got the ability, the personality and, unlike Haye and Audley Harrison, he truly can become a great British world champion.”
