TJ Doheny will return to the ring on Saturday October 15th.
The PABA super bantamweight champion was due to fight in America on Saturday night alongside Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan and Steve Collins Jnr, but will fight next month instead.
The undefeated World-ranked Murphy’s Boxing puncher may be frustrated not to be given the chance to trade leather this weekend, but by all accounts the fight in October is on a bigger card and against a noted foe.
Having rushed his way to title contention, becoming World-ranked and World title-eligible in just five fights, Doheny has been waiting for a breakthrough clash.
The Portlaoise native has relocated from Australia to Boston and is training with Hector Bermudez at Peter Welch’s gym and is hoping for a big end to the year.
