This video shows just how good 2016 has been for Carl Frampton

Forget the Day of the Jackal, it’s been the year of the Jackal.

2016 has been nothing short of sensational for the Belfast World champion.

Back in February Frampton became Ireland’s first unified World champion and did so by settling a long-running grudge with Scott Quigg on a massive PPV card.

By July the 29 year old was making history again, becoming a two weight World champion and defeating another undefeated fighter. This time Frampton beat Leo Santa Cruz to claim the WBA featherweight crown and subsequently broke America and put himself in pound for pound contention.

The scary part is that it’s only August. The Cyclone star hopes to return in December and it’s quite conceivable that he could compete in another unification bout. If that is the case he could have unified titles in two weight classes in less than 12 months!

Gorilla Productions have become Frampton fans of late and have put together this clever. if brief. video to highlight just how great 2016 has been for the Irish legendL
