The Mac Man backs Mac Men Meli and Fryers to impress this weekend

The Mac Man has backed the Mac Men to do the business as look to extend their unbeaten records this weekend.

Former British champion and World ranked fighter has hung up his gloves, but Alfredo Meli and James Fryers are currently representing all things Immaculata and go into action this weekend.

Meli fights at the Red Cow Moran Hotel in Dublin on May 1 and Fryers is in action in Lavey on the undercard of Eamonn O’Kane’s clash on May 2.

Lindsay has been working with both fighters and he believes both will impress this weekend and further down the line.

“Alfredo has been looking good in the gym and will be ready for Dublin. We have been finding it hard to get him sparring – but we have made do and even I have been in sparring with him. Alfredo has done well so far as a pro and there is more to come from him.

“He is an awkward southpaw and a nightmare to fight and I believe he will go far,” he told the Belfast Newsletter.

Lindsay has also been impressed with BUI Celtic Champion James Fryers.

“Fryers is a talented boy and he is tougher and stronger than he looks. They are talking about him fighting at super-featherweight and I think he could do that easy enough.

“Both boys are out soon, so we will be looking for wins and improvement,” added Lindsay.
