Ryan Burnett scores ANOTHER title shot

Ryan Burnett could go into his British title fight with Jason Booth with a European title and a world ranking.

The 23 year old bantamweight prospect will fight for the WBO European title on the World War III card, that was meant to host Andy Lee WBO middleweight title defence against Billy Joe Saunders before the English man pulled out injured, in Manchester on October 10.

The Adam Booth-trained Belfast star, will take on Gagi Edisherashvili (13-3) for the a title that has the power to push you into the WBO top 15, a ranking that makes you world title eligible.

Burnett a former Youth Olympic gold medal winner and a prospect that excites Irish fight fans would be expected to beat the Georgian on the Boxnation televised card.

Victory for the 10-0 fighter in the October 10 clash would see him go into his British title fight with against Jason ‘Too Smooth’ Booth with a title and a confidence boost.

Although the Belfast fighter would be deemed favourite going into the British title fight, Booth represents a step up in class.

The English fighter has shared the ring with the likes of Kiko Martinez, Scott Quigg, Willie Casey, Lee Haskins, and Kid Galahad. and has challenged for World and European honours, and claimed domestic honours.
