Rumour becomes reality for Lee and Rogan

June 20

RUMOUR eventually became reality for Andy Lee and Martin Rogan recently as they confirmed fights with Brian Vera and Kubrat Pulev respectfully over the last 24 hours.

Limerick fighter Lee, who is currently in London supporting his cousin Tyson Fury ahead of his Heavyweight title fight with Derek Chisora, has finally got the chance to avenge his sole career loss.
As exclusively revealed by www.irish-boxing.com on Saturday promoter Lou Dibella officially announced Lee Vera II.

The Irish middleweight has got the fight he has actively perused since 2008, as he faces the much improved Texan on the under card of Sergio Martinez’s middleweight title defence against England’s Darren Barker.

Another Irish fighter to officially confirm a big fight yesterday was Iron Man Martin Rogan.

The former Belfast cab driver challenges the unbeaten Kurbrat Pulev for the EU Heavyweight title in Germany October 22.

Rogan has been linked to the fight for over three months now, but finally sorted date issues out and has secured the biggest fight since his comeback from serious neck injury.

There was no such good news for the luckless Dee Target however. The Mickey Harte managed star suffered yet another injury set back and was forced to pull out of his fight on the under card of Fury Chisora.
