Regan Buckley secures new debut date

After seeing his debut scheduled for this Saturday fall through, young Bray bantamweight Regan Buckley has quickly secured a new date for his pro bow.

The Wicklow 20 year old will now punch for pay for the first time on Saturday May 27th at the National Stadium in Dublin.

As it would have been this Saturday, it is a return to the scene of Buckley’s amateur triumphs, where he claimed an Intermediate title and was Senior Elite runner-up back when he was just 18 years of age.

‘The Rocket’ is the seventh fighter confirmed for the ‘Celtic Clash 2’ card, promoted by Leonard Gunning and Tony Davitt. Buckley joins Eric Donovan, Sean Creagh, Stephen Carroll, Crank Whitehouse, Lynn Harvey, and fellow debutant John Joyce on the bumper bill.

Many more boxers are expected to be announced soon for the card, which promises to be one of the biggest, in terms of number of fighters, in recent years.

Tickets for Celtic Clash 2 will be priced at €15 (Under 15s), €30, €40, €45, and €55 (Premium), and will be available from the boxers involved in the near future.
