Ray Moylette agrees to fight Jake Hanney

Ray Moylette [12(5)-1(0)] says he has agreed to fight Jake Hanney [6(5)-2(1)] and will fight the Dubliner for a vacant title early this year.

Hanney recently claimed the Mayo fighter’s gym mate Niall O’Connor turned down the chance to fight on Celtic Clash 13 and revealed other Irish options were being explored.

Former amateur standout Moylette must have been one of those options as he has since revealed he has accepted an offer to fight ‘The Wizard’.

Speaking online ‘Sugar Ray’ said he was just waiting on the official nod from Boxing Ireland.

There has been no confirmation from Boxing Ireland and Irish-boxing.com understands an Irish title fight with Declan Geraghty is an option Boxing Ireland like for Hanney.

Either way the Inner City Dub looks set for a big Celtic Clash 13 title fight and Boxing Ireland’s all Irish plans are coming to fruition.

The grapevine also suggests Boxing Ireland’s next card will also play host to a rematch between Jamie Morrissey and Robbie Burke. The Limerick and Dublin fighters look set to rematch in a super middleweight Celtic title fight.
