Quigley ready to become a middleweight name in 2016

Ireland’s Golden Boy has glittered in the early stage of his career sprinting to 9-0 in just over a year.

The Donegal man is now keen for another busy 12 months so he can progress from vaunted prospect to middleweight contender.

The 24 year old former amateur stand out believes Golden Boy will again keep him busy and thus afford him plenty of opportunities to impress in 2016.

Quigley intends to grab them chances to move up the ladder and wants to cement his name in an exciting 160lbs division before the year is out.

“I am hoping to be back in the ring in February time. I am going back out to America on December 28 and I will be straight in the gym getting ready for action,” Quigley told Sky Sports.

“It’s going to be similar to last year but a step up in rounds and opponents. So its going to be a massive year. I am looking to make a lot of noise and cement my name in the middleweight division.”
