Punisher wants Big Bang revenge for clan Hyland
PATRICK Hyland has touted a possible all Irish clash between himself and Willie Casey for the Matchroom’s Dublin November 15 show.
The former WBA Interim World title challenger returned to the ring after over a year absence in July with a fourth round stoppage win in New York.
The Dublin has yet to reveal another fight date, but has expressed on Twitter a willingness to fight former European super bantamweight champion and Prizefighter winner Willie Casey on a show set for The Point next month.
@Willie_Casey@KevooByrne what about Nov 15th on sky willie! Big Bang V The Punisher be a great scrap! I know Irish public would love that!
Limerick’s ‘Big Bang’ defeated ‘The Punisher’s’ younger brother Paul Hyland in the first ever all Irish European title fight in 2010, so there would be a revenge sub plot to the clash.
It would also add another all Irish clash to a card that will play host to a Gary O’Sullivan versus Anthony Fitzgerald middleweight grudge match and will most likely see a rematch between Ian Tims and Michael Sweeney.
