An opponent for Dennis Hogan’s WBO Oriental light middleweight title fight on Saturday September 10th has been announced.

Hurricane Hogan will face Cameroon-born Australia-based contender Samuel Colomban [24(11)-8(1)] in his adopted home town of Brisbane.

The clash at the Mansfield Tavern gives Hogan [23(7)-1(0)] the chance to obtain a World ranking with the WBO as he looks to vault himself back into big fights following his competitive loss to Jack Culcay last December.

The 31 year old Kildare boxer however faces a stiff test against Colomban who is the current Victoria State champion, a belt he won at the start of this month against Ben Capps. Additionally the African-born fighter is a Commonwealth and two-time Australian title challenger.

30 year old Colomban’s only knockout loss came at the hands of Jeff Horn, who is viewed by many as the most talented fighter Down Under.
